Richard Lyn Caudle resides in Springville, Alabama with his wife Fara and five children ranging in age from 17 down to 4. Born in Birmingham in 1964, Lyn is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. Although a member of Southern Baptist Church since the age of 9, he was not truly converted to Christianity until 1990 while driving to work. Lyn is an ordained deacon in the Southern Baptist Church and has served in various church positions, including chairman of deacons, chairman of the Personnel Committee, and Sunday School teacher.

Lyn works full time as a traffic engineer for a small consulting firm in Trussville, Alabama. His wife Fara is a stay-at-home mom and homeschool teacher. His hobbies include collecting antiquarian Bibles and researching the history of the English Bible.
