Work Experience Retired Engineer and Systems Development Manager from Memphis, Light, Gas and Water, 2004 Currently teaches upper level high school math and chemistry to home schooled children in the Gadsden area Ministry Experience Ordained to the ministry by Grace Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, Memphis, TN in 1990 Pastor of Caraway Primitive Baptist Church, Caraway, AR, 1990 – 2003 Pastor of Gadsden Primitive Baptist Church, Gadsden, AL, 2004 – present Education Christian Brothers University, Memphis, TN Auburn University, Auburn, AL Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, Memphis, TN Grace Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, Memphis, TN Family Married to Betty (Jenkins) for 30 years Children: Elisabeth (LaByer), Benjamin, Stephen, John and Caleb Conversion experience I professed faith in Christ and was baptized at the age of 10 years. My spiritual growth was slow until, in my mid-twenties, God taught me the doctrines of His sovereign grace. At that point, I became aware of my total helplessness and my utter dependence on righteousness from Christ Jesus that must be imputed to me and that could only be apprehended by faith that was itself a gift from God. |
