ORPHANAGE MINISTRY - HOPE CHILDREN'S HOME

Remember, O LORD, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach...We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers [are] as widows. – Lamentations 5:1,3
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction.... – James 1:27

The Gadsden Primitive Baptist Church desires to "visit" the fatherless and widows in their affliction. We understand this admonition like John Gill, who said that "visit" means "not only to see them, and speak a word of comfort to them, but to communicate to them, and supply their wants, as they may require, and according to the ability God has given." We have been blessed by the Lord to participate in the establishment and support of Hope Children's Home in the mountains near Pattipady, Yercaud in the Salem District of Tamilnadu in India. We are thankful for the numerous brothers and sisters from other churches who have joined us in providing the initial and ongoing resources needed for this work.
